MAJOR GENERAL RONDAL (Ron) H. SMITH, USAF, (Ret)

General Smith serves a consultant to the 21st Century Partnership. As such, he is responsible for identifying mission opportunities and threats to Robins AFB, identifying military value deficiencies, and developing a plan of work that enhances the Base’s and Middle Georgia’s military value.

Smith retired from active duty on January 1, 1998 while serving as commander of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB Georgia. The general was responsible for providing world wide logistics support for most USAF transport aircraft, the F-15 fighter, all special forces aircraft, air to air missiles, surface motor vehicles and high technology avionics and electronic warfare equipment. He also served as the Designated Acquisition Commander for 26 acquisition programs valued in excess of $9B.

Since his retirement, the general has remained in Warner Robins, Georgia with his wife Debbie. He has also severed on several boards in the community to include the Warner Robins Chamber of Commerce, Goodwill Industries, the United Way, the Houston County YMCA, Region 6 Economic Development Council, the Houston County 2020 Implementation Team, and the Governors Military Affairs Coordinating Committee.
